The Woman’s Missionary Union, Auxiliary to the Southern Baptist Convention, held its Centennial Celebration Friday and Saturday, May 13-14, 1988, in Richmond, Virginia. News stories of the event were released by the WMU during the conference. The news releases included coverage of pre-conference events and tours, and various events at the celebration including pageants, re-enactments, speakers and addresses, missionaries commissioned, and participants’ reflections on the Woman’s Missionary Union’s contributions to Southern Baptist life and ministry.
