Southern Baptists and the Negro 1954-1964

This item provides an analysis of the Southern Baptist relations with African Americans from 1954-1964, in the areas of responsibility, problems, and progress, and offers analysis of work that has been done and that needs to be done.  The 17-page paper is written by Thomas Buford Maston, Professor of Christian Ethics at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and was delivered at the annual meeting of the Advisory Council of Southern Baptists for Work with Negroes, February 18-19, 1965, in Nashville, Tennessee.
