Southern Baptist Evangelistic Hour Audio Recordings

1944-1946

The Southern Baptist Evangelistic Hour was produced by the Radio Committee of the Southern Baptist Convention from 1944 to 1946.  The radio program featured music and a sermon by two prominent Baptist preachers, Ralph A. Herring and Monroe Elmon Dodd.  The program was produced to present the Christian gospel to a wide range of radio listeners.  The 30-minute programs were produced on 16-inch transcription audio discs with two programs on one disc.  The Southern Baptist Evangelistic Hour ended in 1946.

Recordings in this presentation were transferred to mp3 format from 16-inch transcription audio discs.  Digital files in this presentation are arranged by the preacher’s name and the recording number assigned by the Radio Committee of the SBC.  Sermon titles are provided.
