SBC Presidential Addresses

The President of the Southern Baptist Convention gives a sermon/address at the annual meeting of the Southern Baptist Convention. This site includes the manuscript of the addresses 1853, 1919-1923, 1939 and 1951-2018, with some missing years. The largest gap happens from 1854-1918. The addresses were usually submitted by the president to the Executive Committee for inclusion in the Press Kit, which was made available to the press covering the SBC meeting. In some years, the presidential address was published in the SBC Annual.
