Primitive Baptist Messenger

1966-1970

The Primitive Baptist Messenger was a monthly journal published out of Pulaski, Virginia, beginning in 1966. The journal usually featured articles about Primitive Baptist beliefs and practices, poems, and church notes and updates. Reprinted articles from other Primitive Baptist publications and similar magazines were also included, as well as re-printed letters to and from the publication’s editor. Elder Roy W. Bowles served as editor of the publication in the late 1960s. The journal was mostly issued monthly but occasionally two months were combined into one issue. The journal ranged from 12 to 27 pages in length, with most issues 16-24 pages long.
