1978-1995
In July, 2013, staff of the Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission of the Southern Baptist Convention prepared indexes to certain years of articles in the Commission’s publications Light and Salt. Included in the indexes are subject, title, author, issue date, and page number information for the articles. Light was first published in 1948 by the Social Services Commission of the Southern Baptist Convention and has continued on a changing and sporadic schedule, usually about four times per year. Light was not published from 1953-1954 and 1967-1977. The publication resumed in 1978 on a regular schedule. Salt and E-Salt (the electronic version) were newsletter format publications of the Christian Life Commission/Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission. The publication originated from the Washington, D.C. office of the Commission with Tom Strode serving as editor. Years 1948-2004 of Light can be searched here.
