The Home and Foreign Fields (1916-1937) continued both the Home Field and the Foreign Mission Journal. This journal served as the publication for both the Foreign Mission Board and the Home Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention. It was published by the Sunday School Board of the SBC in Nashville. The publication began in November 1916 and ended in 1937. The monthly publication usually included 32 to 46 pages of stories and articles about missionaries and mission station work. It also included feature articles on a variety of subjects. The publication also included department reports from the Foreign Mission Board, the Home Mission Board, Women’s Missionary Union, the Laymen’s Movement, and the Young People’s Department. It was succeeded by the Commission and Home Missions.
