The Don Rutledge Photograph Collection is located in the Southern Baptist Historical Library and Archives. The collection includes prints, negatives, slides, and oversized prints. The collection documents the work of Rutledge who served as photographer for the Home Mission Board and the Foreign Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention. His work for the Home Mission Board documented poverty, mission work with ethnic groups and the elderly and children, and everyday life in the deep and mid-South including images of Appalachia, family, and urban centers. His work with the Foreign Mission Board featured numerous human interest photographs. Rutledge also served as a free-lance photographer for many photo services. Contact the SBHLA for use of any of these images.
