Information for visiting researchers

Food and Lodging

Moderately to expensively priced restaurants and some fast food restaurants are located near the SBC building. Researchers may also eat at the LifeWay Christian Resources cafeteria across the street.

A number of moderately priced hotels are located within walking distance of the SBHLA. The prices listed below are for one night of lodging, excluding tax, and are subject to change without notice.

Lynn E. May, Jr., Study Grants

In order to encourage the use of the materials in the Southern Baptist Historical Library and Archives, the library provides modest grants to qualified researchers. The grants are limited to $500 and are used to cover expenses related to research in the Library and Archives. For more information on the Lynn E. The Southern Baptist Historical Library and Archives is located in the SBC Building marked as the red building on the map. Take the Broadway exit and go toward downtown. Turn left on 9th Avenue North.
