The Nationwide Baptist Digest periodical, published from Nashville, Tennessee, was a monthly magazine of Southern Baptist life and thought and included news stories, editorials, sermons, and opinion pieces on a variety of Baptist denominational, missions, and evangelistic activities, and broader contemporary American social and cultural issues. The publication began in January, 1947. It was called Southwide Baptist Digest from its inception through June, 1950. In July, 1950, the publication changed names to Nationwide Baptist Digest and added the slogan, “for every Baptist, everywhere.” Livingston Mays served as editor. Most issues are 16-pages in length. The publication is any word searchable.
