Canadian National Baptist Convention (SBC) Annuals

In 1953, the first Baptist church in Canada affiliated with Southern Baptists.  The Canadian Southern Baptist Conference was formed in 1957, with churches primarily in the western part of Canada.  By 1979, 53 Canadian Baptist churches had connected with the Southern Baptist Convention through the Northwest Baptist Convention.  In 1985, the Canadian Southern Baptist Conference adopted a new constitution and became the Canadian Convention of Southern Baptists.  In 1987, it opened the Canadian Baptist Theological Seminary and College, in Cochrane, Alberta.  In 2001, the attendance was 10,189 members.  In July 2008, the convention voted to change its name to the Canadian National Baptist Convention.  In 2020, the convention reported 404 churches and 23,130 members.  The publication records the business of the Convention, including at various times reports, statistics, and lists of staff, trustees, and committees.
