1962-1963
The Conferences on Baptist Unity were informal, voluntarily called gatherings by a group of pastors for the purpose of discussing problems in uniting the American and Southern Baptist Conventions. The first Conference was held at Calvary Baptist Church in Washington, D. C., on October 26-27, 1962. The second Conference was held at the Alan B. Shepherd Convention Center in Virginia Beach, Virginia, on October 4-5, 1963.
